The Samsung R530 on sale now

Another new laptop from Samsung has gone on sale initially on Amazon for $654, which is not a bad price for a lot of computer. For fans of the brand this a great deal, but for laptop buyers looking for a good deal, could do well to shop around or wait for the Samsung R654 to go on sale elsewhere.

Features of the 15.6 inch Samsung R530 laptop:

With a glass-like finish over a rich red-black gradation, the feature-rich Samsung R530 notebook’s style gives you a hint of what’s to come when you push the power button. The 15.6 inch LED-backlit 16:9 widescreen LCD gives you bright, colourful high-definition images and HD audio, for a rich gaming experience. You’ll speed your way around applications with Windows 7, and you’ll control it all with a full size isolation-type keyboard with integrated 17-key numeric pad. The touchpad’s lighted edges add even more style. And the R530 fits your busy lifestyle, with a 4-hour battery and a weight of just 5.5 lbs.

Dell’s Adamo XPS now available on sale for $1,799

Dell’s Adamo XPS now on sale starting at $1,799

Dell’s slimmest laptop ever still isn’t shipping out to eager consumers, but at least the Win7-packin’ Adamo XPS is now configurable over on the outfit’s website. The base $1,799 configuration includes a 1.4GHz Core 2 Duo SU9400 CPU, a 128GB solid state drive, 13.4-inch WLED panel, 2 megapixel camera, 4GB of DDR3 RAM, GS45 integrated graphics, WiFi and a USB Ethernet adapter. Unfortunately, hardly any of the components are upgradable, but there are a few select upgrades available for those with the cheddar. The scary part? That December 22nd estimated ship date. Better spring for overnight and cross those toes!

Oh, and a slimed lid and palm rest, which are likely the one two aspects that truly matter here.

HP’s Ion-infused Mini 311 netbook now on sale, starts at $400

We had originally assumed that Lenovo’s IdeaPad S12 would be the first netbook to ship with NVIDIA’s Ion platform, but since that rig was delayed until Windows 7 could make its retail debut, HP decided to swoop in and claim the honors. You heard right — the recently introduced Mini 311 has just become the first netbook in the universe with NVIDIA’s Ion to actually ship to end users, and it’s up for order right now starting at $399.99. ‘Course, you’ll be asked to pay extra for a white chassis ($20), Atom N280 ($25), Bluetooth ($25), 802.11n ($25) and integrated WWAN ($125), but at least that 1,366 x 768 resolution display comes standard.
