The ASUS Zenbook UX31E is the first of the Ultrabooks is a svelte 13.3-inch laptop computer with lot of power and stamina, but the ergonomics design is not quite up thereupon the Macbook Air.

It is equip with Intel’s thin-and-light Ultrabook concept has assembled steam over the last few months, with a host of players anticipating adopt Apple’s enormously popular MacBook Air. With pride ahead, the charge is ASUS with its 13-inch Zenbook UX31E. They state impersonation is the honestest figure of flattery, and this small laptop computer appears startlingly well-known.

ASUS Zenbook UX31E Reviews

Design

The ASUS Zenbook UX31E is excellent to view. When closed, the wedge-shaped laptop computer measures 0.67-inch at its thickest level and a plain 0.12-inch at its thinnest. The aluminum silver lid blows a typical concentric circle play over the dark-gray lid design that grabs and shines the surrounding light, and the sharp angles combined and smooth curves brings a beautiful design.

Suiting the name, the Zenbook’s simple, glossy finish makes it a superior look that keeps getting better as soon as you get up the lid.

The Zenbook weighs in at 2.87lbs, the same as the 13.1-inch Macbook Air. It is barely marked when held around for the day and, because of the lithe design; it will not draw a bit much place in your bag.

Ultra powered

One of the important attracts of the Ultrabook concept is that mode and a lightweight go with serious power, and the ASUS Zenbook UX31E accomplishes this. The 1.7GHz Intel Core i5 2557M Dual Core with Intel Turbo Boost 2.0 Technology processors on the 13.3-inch UX31E are from Intel’s second-generation Sandy Bridge group and a blazingly fast 128GB SandForce SSD storage aboard it let the Zenbook easily hold multi-tasking and running programs or web pages.

Moreover, it is equip with 4GB DDR3 of RAM inbuilt to hold the speed up. Neither has a dedicated Intel UMA graphics card, but basic games will keep going the processor entirely.

Instant On 2-second resume

Speed is the focus of the ultrabook range and the Zenbook is no slump. The Super Hybrid Engine II with Instant On feature means you can wake up and operating in just two seconds from sleep mode and standby time will reach two weeks upon a single charge. Even from a cool boot, the ASUS Zenbook UX31E raced to the Windows desktop in 20 seconds.

In hard use, the Zenbook’s battery lived for an amazing 253 minutes. Moreover, once the battery does dip under 5%, the Zenbook will automatically save any files in work when the machine shuts down.

Keyboard

The isolation-style keyboard is head-on and center within the ASUS Zenbook UX31E without any extra clutter from the like hotkey, volume controls, numeric keypads or even dis-joined mouse buttons. As the chassis is so slim, there’s small depth to cash key.

Initially, this can of-putting, especially when you used to thrashing out your emails – but before long typing on the Zenbook goes second nature. We did get the directional arrows and the enter key to a bit on the little side, just not adequate to interfere with extended typing sessions.

the Scrabble-tile keyboard isn’t back-lit, which is a disgrace, and when the short-travel keys at first have a luxurious, firm action, we often found key presses failed to show, forcing us to track back direct our copy to add missing characters. The last annoyance is the wrist rest – its unpleasantly sharp front edge probes the wrist while typing.

Touchpad

Beside the keyboard, ASUS has admitted a massive, center touchpad. We had uncertainties on the ASUS Zenbook UX31E built-in buttons and miss of a rough surface at the start, but these made up soon laid to rest. The reaction is fast and because of the larger size, it is doable to use your thumb on the touchpad without running your hands from the typing place. Sometimes you could sweep the touchpad when typing but this is a rare happening.

ASUS has chosen for a glass touchpad, then it feels splendidly smooth under the finger, but it’s dogged by an almost perceivable lag, and cursor control was sometimes erratic – a stray thumb hovering a bit too close the pad’s bottom corner often sent the cursor pinging across the screen. The basic pinch-to-zoom and scrolling multi-touch gestures work, but the three-finger upward swipe to activate Flip 3D often didn’t record, leaving us clawing helplessly. It’s a far cry from the glossy, sensitive gesture control of the MacBook Air.

External Speaker

Some other notable feature of the ASUS Zenbook UX31E is the external speaker system operating across the ground of the 13-inch Super-TFT screen. Produced by Bang & Olufsen ICEpower, built-in ASUS audio technology named SonicMaster Auido is monitoring loudspeaker that keeps the balance level.

The Zenbook will hit a reassuringly loud volume without disintegrating into either a tinny treble or a fuzzy bass. The Zenbook looks a perfectly capable little entertainment center.

Connectivity

The slim design means physical connectivity is not as plentiful as regular laptops, but there is still adequate at this time to make happy most laptop users. As you’d expect from such a slim design, connectivity is also reasonably limited. Moreover, a 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 handle the wireless connectivity side of things.

ASUS Zenbook UX31E has integrated a USB 2.0 port, an SD card reader, and 3.5mm audio input and output fit out the left-hand side; with a USB 3.0, a mini-VGA Display Port for connecting the ultrabook to an external TV or other external display and a mini-HDMI on the right.

Sadly, there is no room around the slim edges for full-sized video ports or an Ethernet socket, though, so you will only have to make certain to have the supplied adapters to hand when you need them.

ASUS Zenbook UX31E Price

Neither power nor portability that makes sacrificed in pursuit of the other and features that traditionally suffer, such as sound quality and battery lifetime have not been neglected.

Acer Aspire S3 Ultrabook delivers on the promise of slim, light and powerful for reasonable price, less than $800. The laptop weights just 2.98 pounds and measures just .5-inch at its thickest point, making it slimmer and lighter than the Macbook Air.

Acer Aspire S3 Ultrabook has versions with each of these processors, but the one you read here, Acer Aspire S3-951-6646 Ultrabook, uses the 1.6 GHz Intel Core i5-2467M Dual-core processor. This comes alongside a respectable 4GB DDR3 RAM and 320GB Hard Disk Drive.

The Acer Aspire S3 Ultrabook so thin that its two USB ports, AC socket and HDMI port have had to be located at the rear, as there’s no room for them on the sides. All that remains on the side is a headphone jack on the left and SD card reader on the right.

There is no Ethernet, rather communication is via both WiFi and Bluetooth. The one massive source of disappointment with the Acer S3 Ultrabook is the lack of USB3. As a reminder for you, this laptop like a netbook without internal DVD drive. So, you must purchase it separately.

With the pin-sharp screen that has a native resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels you can enjoy your movies that look great on its bright. The Acer Aspire S3 Ultrabook features a Super-TFT display, which aids clarity and vibrancy, but will reflect light more that matt panels.

Some features of Acer Aspire S3 Ultrabook including Acer Green Instant On technology to put the Aspire S3 to sleep and spring it back to life in less than 2 seconds. It’s really amazing. Moreover, Acer Instant On resumes your computing session in less than 2 seconds and from deep sleep in 6 seconds, thanks to the 20GB SSD drive that stores the current PC state just as you left it.

Pros:

The keyboard is very responsive and comfortable.

The touchpad is very smooth and responsive like a Macbook.

Great performance as it has the i5 processor

Super fast boot up and screen on/off time

Simple and basic in terms of ports (2) USB and HDMI which are positioned perfectly in the back.

For this price its a steal compared to what other manufacturers are charging.

Cons:

The up/down/left/right keys are tiny, but eventually you get used to it.

Battery life is not as long as MacBook Air but it’s still descent for an ultrabook.

The click button below the touchpad you have to press very hard (mostly for a right-click), however if you go into mouse settings and just enable “single tap” and set up “double tap” as a pop up menu, you will have no need to press down on pad at all.

Acer Aspire S3 Ultrabook Specifications:

1.6 GHz Intel Core i5-2467M Dual-core processor, 4GB DDR3 RAM, 320GB 5400RPM SATA Hard Disk Drive, 20GB SSD, 13.3-inch WXGA screen display, Wi-Fi (802.11b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.0, HDMI, 2x USB 2.0 ports, 2-in-1 card reader, Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, 3-cell Li-Ion battery.

Where to buy Acer Aspire S3 Ultrabook:

You can buy the Acer Aspire S3-951-6646 Ultrabook with 13.3-Inch HD Display<img style="border: none !important; margin: 0px !important;" src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=letslearncrea-20&l=as2&o=1&a=B005MR58MG" alt="Acer Aspire S3 Ultrabook"width="1" height="1" border="0" /> at Amazon for less than $800. Yup, the Acer Aspire S3 Ultrabook price is really competitive consider with its performance.

Laptop computers typically weighs less than pounds and is inches or less in thickness. If you opt for computer operating systems, which are free, then you will be able to save on some costs. Each of these reliable manufacturers offers top-tier notebook PC models in every category. You will come across a lot of people, who sell of their laptop, because they either want to upgrade to a new faster model, do not need the laptop anymore (this is often the case with freelancers, who find permanent jobs and do not find the need of the laptop) or are unable to pay fully for the laptop. It offers the latest laptop models from first-rate manufacturers, including Toshiba, ASUS, Lenovo, Sony, Acer, Samsung, and HP.

A laptop can effectively be turned into a desktop computer with a docking station, a hardware frame that supplies connections for peripheral input/output devices such as a printer or larger monitor. That depends on what you need your Laptop Computer to do, as well as where and when you’re going to use it! The size of the laptop screen, the smaller the screen of a laptop such netbook computer, the price in general is getting cheaper but feature also limited, and if you only use the laptop computers for simple jobs and you also often travel then this type of laptop computer is suitable for you, but for an architect, or other design job then you need a larger screen laptops with better features for you to do your job with more leverage.

Laptop Computers – How to choose

Note the battery whether it could survive long or not, because you certainly do not want to if your new laptop should always be recharged in a short time so you have to buy a spare battery for doing your job especially when you are in the middle of the journey. Also make sure that the laptop computer you want to buy has a network or modem card that make you easily connected with the internet so you can easier too to find information or communicate with others via the internet. One of the easiest way to buy cheap laptops is to track down the brand and model of the laptop and inquire around. Dealers cannot sell these laptops at the price of the new ones, hence, the buyer is able to make some profit. Discount Laptops A notebook computer or also known as laptop computer is a small mobile computer, usually small enough to sit on your lap.

But which Laptop computers has the right technical, productive, and entertainment components to fit your needs? If you do not want to really show off, then you can opt for a laptop, which does not have the latest technology in it. You can find laptops of all shapes and sizes with these single-core, dual-core or quad-core processors and a growing list offer both integrated graphics—usually Intel HD graphics—and a discrete GPU to balance between application performance and battery life. There is another trick to buy cheap laptop computers. Whether you’re a mobile warrior, conducting business as usual even while on the road or you just want to play around a little, we’ve got the perfect (and cheap) Notebook to fit your lifestyle. Are you a casual traveler, or a frequent-flyer? Last, but not the least, is to buy previously owned and used laptop computers.
